Where the work is

Across Melbourne, near you.

The work is in-home, so we match close to where you live. Most of our Melbourne households sit across Stonnington and Boroondara, the bayside from St Kilda to Brighton, and the inner west. If you are further out, apply anyway; we will match you when a brief fits your patch.

South Yarra, Toorak, Armadale, Malvern, Prahran, Windsor

Boroondara

We also work with households across regional Victoria. If you are outside these areas, apply — we will match you when a brief fits.

From application to first week

Two conversations, then briefs that fit.

Day 1

Apply

A short application — your background, the kind of households you keep best, the hours and rate you want to work.

Week 1

A first call

Forty-five minutes with our team. Verification kicks off in parallel — ID, references, working-with-children where relevant.

Week 2

A second conversation

A craft conversation: how you handle a difficult vendor, a missed school run, a household in transition. We compare notes.

Ongoing

Briefs, when they fit

When a Melbourne household matches your shape of work, we send you the brief. You decide. No quotas, no pressure to take what is wrong.

Day 1 of role

Your first day

You engage with the household directly. Your partner at Quietly Kept stays on email — quarterly check-ins, ad-hoc when you need us.

What you get

Three things, looked after. So you can look after the home.

Introductions, the platform, and a partner who answers your messages. We don’t take a cut of your wages.

01 ——

The right introductions

We brief you fully before any household sees your profile. You decide whether to be put forward. Melbourne households, matched to the way you work.

02 ——

The platform, free to use

Routines, vendor book and handover notes — the running of the home, written down. Free for the life of any engagement we introduce.

03 ——

A partner in your corner

When a contract needs adjusting or a household conversation gets difficult, there is a person at Quietly Kept who knows your work.

Pay & terms

Your rate, your relationship. We take nothing from your wages.

Households pay you directly — through their accountant or payroll provider, on the terms you agree with them. Quietly Kept charges the household, never the manager. The platform is free for you to use.

Melbourne FAQs

The questions Melbourne managers ask.

If yours is not here, write to us. We read and answer every application personally.

01

What areas do Melbourne roles cover?

+

Most of our Melbourne households are across Stonnington and Boroondara, the bayside from St Kilda through to Brighton, and the inner west out toward Point Cook: Camberwell, Albert Park, Hawthorn and Docklands among them. We shortlist within a practical commute.

02

How many households should I expect?

+

Most of our managers keep one household well, or split their week across two nearby homes. Somewhere between 15 and 35 hours total. We won’t put you forward for hours that push past what you want.

03

Do I need to be in Melbourne already?

+

The work is in-home, so you need to be in or around Melbourne. We shortlist within a sensible commute of the household. If you are relocating, apply once you have settled.

04

Is the platform really free?

+

Yes. Free for the life of any engagement we introduced. If you bring your own households onto the platform, that stays free too.

05

Do you take a percentage of my wages?

+

No, never. The household pays a one-off placement fee and a monthly subscription to us. Your wages are between you and the household, in full.

Apply

Tell us about your practice.

A short, considered application — twenty minutes at most. We read every one. You’ll hear back within five business days, by note or by phone.

03

About your week — hours you want, days you want off, where you live and travel

04

About your rate — what you charge now, and what you would like to be charging in a year

“The relationship is yours. We sit out of the way.”
